Description

Born in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia then), ‘O’ Level qualification.

Came down to SA and joined SABC as production secretary for English Radio Service’ s Sports Dept., where I got into presenting sport quite by default. One of the regular presenters couldn’t get back from a venue for his studio shift, and I was told to produce and present his shift…….just about had a heart attack, but it all went fine and that’s how I began broadcasting,. I moved across to Television and presented sport on Good Morning SA, and the Evening News, until they moved me into reading the News (6pm and 8pm).

I was approached by MNet to become their first woman presenter on Supersport, (1993), and I was there for 10 years presenting live from studio. The sports I presented were rugby, tennis, football, hockey and Summer and Winter Olympics. I also did lots of voice over work on different sports including motor racing.

I am now a presenter on LMRadio which is a music station (50’s, 60’s 70’s 80’s music) broadcasting in Mozambique. I do the “drive show” from 4pm to 7pm on weekdays, and “Happy Sports” on a Saturday afternoon (4pm to 7pm), which includes the latest sports news and results from around the world.

I really am loving LMRadio, as it’s the music I grew up with.

I would like to do more voice over work preferably television adverts and documentaries.
